Experts in the care sector are warns that the UK’s new immigration rules will add to an existing crisis over recruiting staff to care for the elderly and disabled.
In England it’s calculated there are already 112,000 job vacancies in charge homes and home care.
From January 2021 the UK’s brand-new immigration rules mean that most overseas care workers will not earn enough to qualify for a study visa.
The authority insists that help companies will be able to recruit fairly people from within the UK.
